TTYL Time to trade up those old games for new games! The Virtual Video Game Store is having a HUGE sale on all PS2 and Gamecube games. Buy 3 games at regular price and get the fourth lowest priced game FREE! Or, buy 5 games and get 2 games FREE! This applies to all PS2 and Gamecube games. You can even mix-and-match between the two! But it doesn't end there!... If you have any old games (or systems) to trade in that we're interested in, you not only get the trade in value for those games but we'll also add another 10% to your trade in. That means more money for your trade in and big savings on all your favorite games!! Hurry, before your favorite games disappear! Sale has now ended. In addition to the new changes I am adding dividers to the "New to the Store Section" to help organize what's new. Each one will be dated with the date that the new items were posted. They have the same "NEW!" pic that is posted to this blog, so they're easy to spot. This will help keep the rotation fresh and you don't have to sift through every game to find the one or two new ones that were posted recently. This will also allow me to post new stuff, daily, without burying it in older stuff. On top of that, I will be merging in recent "Price Drops" into that section, that way you can see what has gotten cheaper as soon as it does. Keep checking in there often, your favorite game may experience a Price Drop but it may not last long. Hello hello! Welcome to the Virtual Video Game Store 2.0! Due to a request from a customer for a new release section, I've been hard at work revamping the site to have an easier and more organized format. You can now click your way through the systems and games (which are now on separate pages), using Category pics. You can navigate back and forth easier with page trails on top and page numbers on the bottom, the items look more organized and have options where necessary, and best of all, there is now a new release section! (new to the store) You can find it on the front page when you click the new "Shop Now" tab at the top. There, you'll find Category thumbnails for each video game company as your portal to each section, and the new games to the store below that. So you can quickly see what's new to the store before you start shopping. I'll be posting a blog to Facebook that links back here each time I add to it, probably weekly. I'm sorry but I can't post new stock directly to Facebook as it really complicates things and it can confuse people as to what's in stock when some of that sells and it isn't removed from there. Everything on the site is up-to-date. But it will be very easy to access from Facebook so you can still discuss the games on Facebook if you like, (or here). The games will remain in that section for a few weeks to a month, tops, so check in often and make sure you like the Facebook page so you'll be notified everytime new games are posted! I hope you enjoy the new changes, and I always appreciate feedback from customers. Thanks Sam. ;-) Looking for great games and deals? The Virtual Video Game Store is now having a sale on Gamecube systems! Buy any 3 games and get $10 off the already-low price of a Gamecube system. Buy 5 and get $20 off! That applies to ALL games, they don't have to be for Gamecube. And if you have anything to trade in that I'm interested in you could get it even cheaper. Contact me here or check out the website for a great game selection. We've got tons of PS2 games too. Hurry, this offer won't last long. Supply IS limited. Sale has now ended. Visiting the Virtual Video Game Store just got easier! We are now available on several different web addresses. In addition to accessing the site through the old web address, http://virtual videogamestore.weebly.com you can now also access the store through, www.virtualvideogamestore.com and www.virtualvideogamestore.ca, so please bookmark your favorite link, and visit often. Rambo approves! Please, please, do not buy or support any downloadable games for any system, unless that is the only way they will ever be available. I personally (as a gamer) am upset with downloadable games, and here's why.... When you buy a downloadable game they don't provide you with a case, a manual, or EVEN a disc. Shouldn't the game be cheaper than the store version? It's not! You not only save the company from having to produce a case, a manual and a disc, you also save them having to package and ship the disc to your local store. In reality all you are given is a digital code that requires no shipping. Very easy and cheap for them! Why is the digital version not cheaper? On top of all that when you download a game to your system, it belongs to that system and user. You cannot re-sell downloadable games. Technically you can sell a system with games on it, but once that new user creates a profile, poof, those games are gone! Into thin air. The only way around that is to also sell your profile to the next user, and that is very unsafe and not recommended because all your payment info is included with that, ie, credit card info, name, address, passwords, etc. If the next user does not have that info they can never create a profile, they can never access the online stores, they can never update their games or if the system updates, they won't be able to log back in to their system. Forcing them to create a new and legitimate profile and lose those games. Someone paid GOOD money for those games originally. Most people tire of their old games at one point or another, and what do they do? They sell the games and make a little of that money back. They get some money back, the next person gets the game cheaper. Win-Win, everyone's happy. But with a digital game, it can't be re-sold and they get nothing back. The game just vanishes, and that's the worst part! Ask yourself, where would you find great games like Super Mario, and Zelda, and Mega Man, and any other classic or obscure game you loved, if every copy just vanished into thin air everytime a system was resold? Some games are already hard to get, imagine how hard it will be to find certain titles if most of them just disappeared after they were played. Most games would just be memories. I believe digital downloads are created by the greedy, to sell you next to nothing, and only leave you with nothing. No money for you, all the money for them. And then they want you to buy their "new" products and lose those too. Do not support them! They will only kill the video game industry. As Admiral Ackbar would say "It's a Trap!" Don't fall for it. If you feel the same, email the company of your choice and tell them you don't agree with digital games. Let's put a stop to this! I already have, numerous times. I told them I will NEVER buy a digital game. I won't. My feelings would be different on this if they passed on the savings to the consumer, by selling the digital games for half-price or cheaper, then it would be justified, but they don't even give you $5 off, not even a penny for that matter. Very greedy! How do they justify the costs? The only way to fight back is with your dollars. Do not support them! (if the game is ONLY available digitally, there's a good chance it's just an Indie game trying to make it. I have no problem with supporting them) |
